I think this pic explains everything

When each and every Indian players are busy taking selfies and posting it in social media after winning, this man just stays in the corner which shows his disinterest towards social media.

Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam

He was the biggest motivator of thousands of Indian youths and a real inspiration for millions of people of the country.

Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam was the 11th President of the Indian Union. You might have guessed the name by now. He is none other than The Missile Man Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam.

His father taught him a lesson and till his death he had not deviated from that lesson. That lesson was “Not to take any gift from any person”. He was firm about not receiving any personal gifts and ensured that all personal gifts were duly tabulated and sent to the government’s Toshakhana.

Kalam owned some 2,500 books, a wrist watch, six shirts, four trousers, three suits and a pair of shoes. Apart from this, he didn’t own any property nor Fridge, TV, Car, or an air conditioner.

He was in the support of using technology but still he hadn’t a TV or smart phone. The only TV set at his Rajaji Marg residence was used by his staff. He kept himself abreast of the latest development related news mainly through Radio or Newspaper.

Christopher Nolan

Yes the director of memento, inception, one of the best superhero films the dark knight and interstellar doesn’t use a smartphone.

He says I quote “Well, I’ve never used email because I don’t find it would help me with anything I’m doing. I just couldn’t be bothered about it. As far as the cellphone goes, it’s like that whole thing about “in New York City, you’re never more than two feet from a rat”- I’m never two feet from a cellphone. I mean, we’ll be on a scout with 10 people and all of them have phones. So it’s very easy to get in touch with me when people need to.

When I started in this business, not many people had cellphones, I didn’t have one, I never bothered to get one and I’ve been very fortunate to be working continuously, so there’s always someone around me who can tap me on the shoulder and hand me a phone if they need to. I actually really like not having one because it gives me time to think. Best lines he says is “when you have a smartphone and you have 10 minutes to spare, you go on it and you start looking at stuff”, so it’s generally a waste of time.

“Man who owns shares in iPhone, still who don’t own a phone!”

Warren Edward Buffett, who is considered as one of the most successful investor of all time. As of March 2017 he is the second wealthiest person in the United States, and the fourth wealthiest in the world. He is holding total net worth of $73.3 billion.

Buffett, who is known as the Oracle of Omaha for his legendary success as a stock market investor, is a conventional man in quite an unconventional way.

Though he owns shares in Apple, he doesn’t use iPhone. He doesn’t use even a smartphone.

He says that he doesn’t get rid of anything until he’s had it for 20 – 25 years. So while he does have a cell phone, it is an ancient Nokia flip phone. He has never owned a smart phone and he doesn’t use email. He may be a billionaire and the most famous investor in the world, but he still lives in a very modest three bedroom home and fights for the rights of the working class.

In an interview given to CNN in 2013 he mockingly said after proudly showing off his Nokia flip Phone, “This is one Alexander Graham Bell gave me.”

His modest and simple lifestyle is one of the principle behind his market strategy.

His market wisdom goes such – don’t buy a stock if you aren’t willing to keep it for 10 years.

Buffet is just a frugal and a practical man who wants to live life on his own terms. He lives an original life without getting influenced by trends. His life away from the fads of the day gives him the capability to see through the haze and ability to be one of the greatest investor of all time.
